Old Santa Rosa Chapel

After the missions, Old Santa Rosa Chapel was the first Catholic church built in San Luis Obispo County in 1870. Santa Rosa Parish was formed in this chapel, which continues to be treasured by all. Your help is needed to maintain this historic building and to assist in parish liturgies and other activities held at the chapel.         

June 8, 2024 - Blessing of the new chapel altar by Bishop Garcia.  The altar was built by Jim Caver.

Chapel News - The Chapel will be open for tours on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 to 2 p.m. Volunteers are welcome to sign up at the back of the church. Docent training will be on Tues, June 18, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Please contact Ramona Voge at (805) 400-5353 if you have any questions.
